Oklahoma, Texas and Notre Dame should start their own conference.

Make it 8 teams. With round-robin play.

ND could still play, Texas, OU, USC, Michigan, MSU, Navy, Stanford.

Let OU invite OkSt. UT can invite two, ND two. You might even get a bite from a P4 conference team that privately would prefer contraction rather than play Rutgers, et al.
